If you’re planning to replace your existing windows with windows of the same size, the Village of Shorewood does not require you to get a permit. If you’re changing the size of your windows, though, or adding an egress window, you’ll need an approved building permit before beginning any work. The Village of Shorewood has a printable pdf of their building permit on their website. They also have a document outlining the fees for obtaining a permit. The minimum fee for a permit is $60.
